Prohibition of walking with only one shoe
Hadith 691
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا فَإِذَا لَبِسْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى وَإِذَا خَلَعْتَ فَابْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى.
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wear both (shoes) together or take both off together. When you put on your shoes, start with the right, and when you take them off, start with the left."
Hadith 692
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا شُعْبَةُ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: فَذَكَرَهُ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً.
From another chain of narration, a hadith similar to the previous one is narrated from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
Hadith 693
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا انْتَعَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُمْنَى، وَإِذَا خَلَعَ فَلْيَبْدَأْ بِالْيُسْرَى، أَنْعِلْهُمَا جَمِيعًا أَوْ أَحْفِهِمَا جَمِيعًا.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you puts on shoes, let him start with the right, and when he takes them off, let him start with the left. Let him wear both shoes together or keep both feet bare."
