Command to kill snakes with cut tails and two stripes
Hadith 675
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، نا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ سَائِبَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((نَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ الْحَيَّاتِ الَّتِي تَكُونُ فِي الْبُيُوتِ إِلَّا الْأَبْتَرَ وَذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَخْطَفَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَيَطْرَحَانِ أَوْلَادَ النِّسَاءِ فَمَنْ تَرَكَهُمَا فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي)).
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing those snakes that are found in houses, except for the snake with a cut tail and the one with two stripes, because both of them cause blindness and make women miscarry. So whoever leaves these two (without killing them) is not from among us.
