Hadith 594
Amr bin Maymun bin Mehran narrated from his father: He said: Umm Kulthum bint Uqbah was married to Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him). He went out for prayer, and she began experiencing labor pains and concealed it. She said: “Make my heart happy by giving me one divorce.” So he gave her one divorce. When he returned (after praying), she had given birth to the child. So he went to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and asked him about the matter. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “According to Allah’s law, the prescribed period has been completed; send her a marriage proposal.” He said: “She deceived me, may Allah deceive her.”
