Swearing an oath on a Surah of the Qur’an
Hadith 575
وَبِهَذَا، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ حَلَفَ بِسُورَةٍ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ فَعَلَيْهِ بِكُلِّ آيَةٍ مِنْهَا يَمِينٌ صَبْرَانِ فَجْرٌ)).
With this chain of narration, it is reported from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: He said, "Whoever swears an oath by a surah of the Qur'an, then if he is wicked, for every verse of it there is an oath of patience upon him."
