Blessing in the dates given by the Prophet
Hadith 546
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: ((أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، فَجَعَلْتُهُ فِي مِكْتَلٍ لَنَا، فَعَلَّقْنَاهُ فِي سَقْفِ الْبَيْتِ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ نَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ حَتَّى كَانَ بِآخِرِهِ أَغَارَ عَلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ زَمَنَ الْحَرَّةِ)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave me some dates. I placed them in a basket of mine and hung it on the roof of the house. We kept eating from it until they finished at the time when the people of Sham attacked Harrah.
Hadith 547
أَخْبَرَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ: بِآخِرِهِ.
Ismail bin Muslim narrated with this chain in the same manner, but he did not mention the words «بِآخِرِه».
