The Prophet’s help through the wind
Hadith 532
اَخْبَرَنَا وَکِیْعٌ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَکَمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَّسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نُصِرْتُ بِالصَّبَا، وَاُهْلِکَتْ عَادٌ بِالدَّبُوْر.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I was helped by the east wind, while the people of 'Ad were destroyed by the west wind."
Hadith 533
اَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَکَمِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ،مُجَاهِدًا یُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنِ النَّبِیِّ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَه.
Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated a hadith similar to the previous one.
