Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from the expedition of Tabuk and his mount was ahead of him, suddenly a Bedouin passed by with a fat, strong camel, reciting rajaz poetry, and the Prophet’s mount trembled. A man said: If his energy and strength were in the way of Allah, and if he is returned to his family, then he is in the way of Allah. (Upon hearing this) the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If his energy and strength are returned to his parents so that he may serve and suffice them, then he is in the way of Allah, and if he is returned to his family, then he is in the way of Allah, and if his intention is mutual boasting and increasing wealth, then he is in the way of Taghut (falsehood).”
