Hadith 509
أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((تَضَمَّنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ خَرَجَ مُجَاهِدًا فِي سَبِيلِي إِيمَانَا بِي وَتَصْدِيقًا بِرَسُولِي فَهُوَ عَلَيَّ ضَامِنٌ أَنْ أُدْخِلَهُ الْجَنَّةَ، أَوْ إِنْ رَجَعْتُهُ أَنْ أُرْجِعَهُ بِمَا نَالَ مِنْ أَجْرٍ أَوْ غَنِيمَةٍ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يُكْلَمُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَلْمًا إِلَّا جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ لَوْنُهُ لَوْنُ دَمٍ وَرِيحُهُ رِيحُ مِسْكٍ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْلَا أَنْ أَشُقَّ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ مَا قَعَدْتُ خِلَافَ سَرِيَّةٍ تَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلَكِنْ لَا أَجِدُ سَعَةً فَأَحْمِلُهُمْ، وَلَا يَجِدُونَ سَعَةً وَيَشُقُّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَنْ يَتَخَلَّفُوا عَنِّي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي أَغْزُو فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَأُقْتَلُ، ثُمَّ أَغْزُو فَأُقْتَلُ، ثُمَّ أَغْزُو فَأُقْتَلُ)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Allah guarantees the person who goes out in His path for jihad, believing in Allah and affirming His messengers, that Allah will admit him to Paradise, or if He returns him, He will return him with reward and spoils of war. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! Whoever is wounded in the path of Allah, he will come on the Day of Resurrection with the color of blood, but its fragrance will be the fragrance of musk. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! If I did not find it hard upon the Muslims, I would never stay behind any expedition fighting in the path of Allah, but I do not find the means to provide them with mounts, nor do they find the means, and it is hard upon them that they do not go out with me. By the One in Whose hand is my soul! I wish that I fight in the path of Allah and am martyred, then fight and am martyred, then fight and am martyred."
