Hadith 507
أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، وَالْمُلَائِيُّ، قَالَا، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ((يَكْرَهُ الشَّكَالَ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked a horse of the "shikal" type (shikal: a horse whose right leg and left forearm are white).
Hadith 508
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ النَّخَعِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا زُرْعَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((سَمُّوا بِاسْمِي وَلَا تَكْتَنَّوْا بِكُنْيَتِي)) ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَكْرَهُ الْإِشْكَالَ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ: هَذَا لَيْسَ بِالصُّهْبَانِيِّ وَكِلَاهُمَا مِنَ النَّخَعِ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Name yourselves after me, but do not take my kunyah." He narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked a horse that had whiteness on its right leg and left forearm.
