Description of Salam and Salaf sales
Hadith 461
اَخَبَرَنَا اِسْمَاعِیْلُ بْنُ اِبْرَاهِیْمَ الْاَسَدَیُّ۔ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عُلَیَّةَ۔ عَنْ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ بْنِ اَبِیْ نُجَیْحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِاللّٰهِ بْنِ کَثِیْرٍ، عَنْ اَبِی الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَدِمَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ یَعْنِی الْمَدِیْنَةَ، وَالنَّاسُ یَسْلِفُوْنَ فِی الثِّمَارِ، الصَّاعُ وَالصَّاعَیْنِ اَوِ الثَّـلَاثَةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ اَسْلَمَ فِی تَمْرٍ، فَبِکَیْلٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ اِلٰی اَجَلٍ مَّعْلُوْمٍ.
Syedna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, the people there used to sell fruits in advance for one, two, or three years. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever sells dates in advance (salam), let him do so for a specified measure and a specified period."
Hadith 462
اَخْبَرَنَا الْمَلَائِیُّ، نَا سُفْیَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ اَبِیْ نُجَیْحٍ، بِهَذَا الْاِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهٗ.
Ibn Abi Najih narrated with this chain a narration similar to the previous hadith.
Hadith 463
اَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُالرَّزَّاقِ، نَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ اَبِیْ نُجَیْحٍ بِهَذَا الْاِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهٗ.
Ibn Abi Najih narrated from this chain a narration similar to the previous hadith.
Hadith 464
اَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُالرَّزَّاقِ، نَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ اَبِیْ نُجَیْحٍ، عَنْ اَبِی الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ مِثْلَ ذٰلِكَ.
Abu Al-Minhāl narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) a narration similar to this.
