Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man should not bid over the bid of his (Muslim) brother until he buys or leaves it; a man should not propose marriage over the proposal of his brother until he marries or receives a response; a woman should not demand the divorce of her (Muslim) sister so that she may empty her plate (vessel), for a Muslim woman is the sister of a Muslim woman."

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: A townsman should not sell for a villager, nor should a man bid against his brother’s price, nor should he send a marriage proposal over his brother’s proposal. Do not artificially raise prices merely to increase the price (bidding). A woman should not demand the divorce of her (Muslim) sister so that she may obtain what is in her vessel; she will only get what is decreed for her. And do not withhold milk in the udders of camels and goats. So, whoever buys such an animal whose milk has been withheld, he has the choice of two options: if he returns it, then he should return it with one sa’ (approximately two and a quarter kilograms) of dates. An animal held as collateral may be ridden and its milk may be drunk.
