Hadith 414
Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "None of you should say, 'I fasted the entire Ramadan and I stood (in prayer) the entire Ramadan.'" The narrator said: I do not know whether he (the Prophet) liked self-purification or not. And he (peace be upon him) said: Sleeping or staying awake is necessary.
