Warning against missing Ramadan fasts without a valid excuse
Hadith 406
أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُطَوِّسِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ لَمْ يُجْزِهِ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ وَلَوْ صَامَهُ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves one fast of Ramadan without a (legal) concession, then even if he fasts for his entire life, it will not suffice for it."
Hadith 407
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عُمَارَةَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُطَوِّسِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ أَرْخَصَهَا اللَّهُ لَمْ يُكَفِّرْهُ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ وَلَوْ صَامَهُ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves one fast of Ramadan without a concession given by Allah, then even if he fasts for his entire life, it will not make up for it."
Hadith 408
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُلَائِيُّ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُطَوِّسِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهِ، قَالَ: ((مِنْ غَيْرِ مَرَضٍ وَلَا رُخْصَةٍ)) .
Abu Al-Mutawwas (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) the same narration, he said: "Without any illness or permission."
Hadith 409
أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُطَوِّسِ، أَوِ ابْنِ الْمُطَوِّسِ أَوِ الْمُطَوِّسِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((مَنْ أَفْطَرَ يَوْمًا مِنْ رَمَضَانَ مِنْ غَيْرِ رُخْصَةٍ أَرْخَصَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى لَمْ يَقْضِهِ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ)).
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves one fast of Ramadan without an allowance given by Allah, then fasting for a lifetime will not make up for it."
