Walking briskly in the first three circuits of Tawaf al-Qudum
Hadith 389
اَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُالرَّزَّاقِ، نَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَیْمٍ، عَنْ اَبِی الطُّفَیْلِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَ رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُمْرَةَ الْحُدَیْبِیَّةِ قَالَ: اِنَّهُمْ سَیَرَوْنَکُمْ غَدًا فَلْیَرَوْا بِکُمْ جِلْدًا، قَالَ: فَسَعَی رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَسَعَوْا مَعَهٗ حَتَّی بَلَغُوْا الرُّکْنَ الْیَمَانِّیْ، ثُمَّ مَشَوْا حَتَّی بَلَغُوْا الْحَجَرَ الْاَسْوَدَ، ثُمَّ سَعَوْا حَتَّی بَلَغُوْا الرُّکْنَ الْیَمَانِّی۔ فَفَعَلَ ذٰلِكَ ثَـلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، ثُمَّ مَشٰی اَرْبَعًا.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came for the ‘Umrah of Hudaybiyyah, he said: “They (the polytheists) will see you tomorrow, so let them see strength and firmness in you.” The narrator stated: So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) walked briskly, and they also walked briskly with him until they reached the Yemeni Corner, then walked normally until they reached the Black Stone, then walked briskly until they reached the Yemeni Corner. He did this three times (in three circuits), and then completed four circuits walking normally.
