Tawaf of the Ka’bah is like prayer
Hadith 329
اَخْبَرَنَا جَرِیْرٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ طَاؤُوْسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَسُوْلِ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ جَرِیْرٌ: وَعَنْ عَطَاءٍ لَمْ یَرْفَعْهٗ قَالَ: اَلطَّوَافُ بِالْبَیْتِ مِثْلَ الصَّلَاةِ، اِلَّا اَنَّکُمْ تَتَکَلَّمُوْنَ فِیْهِ، فَلَا یَتَکَلَّمَنَّ اَحَدُکُمْ اِلَّا بِخَیْرٍ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The circumambulation of the House of Allah is like prayer, except that you can talk during it, so speak only good and virtuous words."
