Virtue of shaving the head during Hajj and Umrah
Hadith 314
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَدَّتِي تَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَا لِلْمُحَلِّقِينَ ثَلَاثًا كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يُقَالُ لَهُ وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ، فَقَالَ عِنْدَ الثَّالِثَةِ: ((وَالْمُقَصِّرِينَ)).
Sayyida Umm al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: He (peace be upon him) supplicated three times for those who shaved their heads (during Hajj and Umrah). Each time, it was requested of him: And those who trim their hair (pray for them as well), so on the third time he said: "And for those who trim their hair as well."
Hadith 315
أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بِمِثْلِهِ.
Lady Umm al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saying the same.
