Stoning at Jamrah Aqabah on the day of sacrifice
Hadith 311
أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ، قَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ جَمْرَةِ الْعَقَبَةِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: ((يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، لَا يَقْتُلُ بَعْضُكُمْ بَعْضًا، وَارْمُوا الْجَمْرَةَ بِمِثْلِ حَصَا الْحَذَفِ)) ، ثُمَّ رَمَى الْجَمْرَةَ وَلَمْ يَقِفْ عِنْدَهَا فَانْطَلَقَ زَادَ فِيهِ غَيْرُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ: وَرَجُلٌ يَسْتُرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْهُ فَقِيلَ لِي: هُوَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ وَيَقُولُ: ((لَا تَزْدَحِمُوا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ)) ، وَقَالَ فِيهِ: ثُمَّ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِي ثُمَّ رَمَى.
Sulaiman bin Amr bin Al-Ahwas narrated from his mother, she said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) at Jamrah Aqabah on the day of sacrifice (10th Dhul-Hijjah), and he was saying: "O people! Do not kill one another, and pelt the Jamrah with pebbles like the size of a date stone." Then he pelted the Jamrah and did not stand by it, and moved on. Others besides Jarir narrated from Yazid with this chain, that a man was shielding the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from the people. I asked about him, and I was told he was Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he was saying: "O people! Do not crowd." And in it is mentioned: Then he came to the valley and pelted again.
Hadith 312
أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ.
Yazid bin Abi Ziyad narrated with the same chain a hadith similar to that of Jarir.
Hadith 313
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، نا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ قَالَتْ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ.
Sayyidah Umm al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon to us in the plain of Arafat, then she mentioned the like of it.
