Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The one who gives charity does not receive more reward than the needy person who takes charity.

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The Hour will not be established until wealth becomes so abundant and there is such an overflow of wealth that a wealthy person will be concerned about who will accept his charity; he will offer it, but the person to whom he offers it will say: (Sir) I have no need of it."
