Allah, Blessed and Exalted, descends to the lowest heaven
Hadith 235
أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، نا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، نا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " مَا مِنْ لَيْلَةٍ إِلَّا وَاللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَنْزِلُ فِيهَا فِي ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرِ، فَنَادَى مُنَادِيهِ: هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ فَأُعْطِيَهُ؟ هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ فَاغْفِرَ لَهُ "، ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Every night, in the last third of it, Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven, and a caller announces: Is there anyone who asks so that I may grant him? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness so that I may forgive him? He says this three times."
Hadith 236
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، وَأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَغَرِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَنْزِلُ كُلَّ لَيْلَةٍ إِذَا بَقِيَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الْآخِرُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَيَقُولُ: مَنْ يَدْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَهُ، وَمَنْ يَسْتَغِفِرُنِي فَأَغْفِرُ لَهُ ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty descends to the lowest heaven every night when the last third of the night remains and says: Who calls upon Me so that I may answer his supplication, who asks Me for forgiveness so that I may forgive him."
