On Eid, prayer comes before the sermon without adhan or iqamah
Hadith 228
اَخْبَرَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ، نَا سُفْیَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَیْجٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَاؤُوْسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: صَلَّی رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اَلْعِیْدَیْنِ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَصَلَّی اَبُوْ َبْکٍر کَذٰلِکَ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَصَلَّی عُمَرُ کَذٰلِكَ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ، وَصَلَّی عُثْمَانُ کَذٰلِكَ، ثُمَّ خَطَبَ بِغَیْرِ اَذَانٍ وَلَا اِقَامَةٍ۔ قَالَ الْمُؤَمَّلُ: نَقُوْلُ: کُلُّهُمْ صَلُّوْا الْعِیْدَیْنِ بِغَیرِ اَذَانٍ وَلَا اِقَامَةٍ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Eid prayers, then delivered the sermon. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) also led the prayer in the same manner and then delivered the sermon. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) also led the prayer in the same manner, then delivered the sermon, and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) also led the prayer in the same manner, then delivered the sermon. There was neither Adhan nor Iqamah in it. Mu’ammal narrated: We will say that all these noble companions led the Eid prayers without Adhan or Iqamah.
