Sending blessings or peace upon the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
Hadith 208
اَخْبَرَنَا یَحْیَی بْنُ آدَمَ، نَا اِسْرَائِیْلُ، عَنْ اَبِیْ یَحْیَی الْقَتَّاتِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: لَیْسَ اَحَدٌ مِنْ اُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ یُصَلِّیْ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدِ اَوْ یُسَلِّمُ عَلَیْهِ اِلَّا بَلَغَهٗ، یُصَلِّیْ عَلَیْكَ فُلَانٌ، وَیُسَلِّمُ عَلَیْكَ فُـلَانٌ.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: Whoever from the Ummah of Muhammad sends Salat or Salam upon Muhammad (peace be upon him), it reaches him: so-and-so sends Salat upon you, and so-and-so sends Salam upon you.
