Statement about correcting the imam's mistake
Hadith 182
أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسَ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، أنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي غَطَفَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ، وَمَنْ أَشَارَ فِي صَلَاتِهَ إِشَارَةً تُفْهِمُ فَلْيُعِدْ لَهَا الصَّلَاةَ)) آخِرُ أَحَادِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "In prayer, for men it is to say 'Subhan Allah' (to alert the imam in case of forgetfulness or mistake), and for women it is to clap. And whoever makes such a gesture in his prayer that is understood (by others), then he must repeat his prayer." This is the last hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him).
