Prayer is invalidated by incomplete bowing and prostration
Hadith 173
وَبِهَذَا، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَكْتُوبَةَ فَلَمْ يُتِمَّ رُكُوعَهَا وَسُجُودَهَا وَتَكْبِيرَهَا وَالتَّضَرُّعَ فِيهَا كَانَ كَمَثَلِ التَّاجِرِ لَا يَشِفُّ لَهُ حَتَّى بَقِيَ رَأْسُ الْمَالِ)).
With this same chain, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When any one of you performs an obligatory prayer and does not complete its bowing, prostration, takbir, and humility, then he is like a merchant whose wealth does not increase, to the extent that even his principal amount is not fulfilled."
Hadith 174
وَبِهَذَا، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِنَّ شَرَّ النَّاسِ سَرِقَةً الَّذِي يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ)) قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، وَكَيْفَ يَسْرِقُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ؟ قَالَ: ((لَا يُتِمُّ رُكُوعَهَا وَلَا سُجُودَهَا)) .
With this same chain, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals from his prayer." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! How does he steal from his prayer? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He does not complete its bowing nor its prostration."
