The importance of saying takbir in prayer
Hadith 170
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عَوْنٍ الْأَعْوَرِ، قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَكَانَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَبَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنَ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: ((إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ صَلَاةً بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَا زَالَتْ صَلَاتَهُ حَتَّى مَاتَ)) .
Abu Awn Al-A'war narrated: I prayed with Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), and he used to say Allahu Akbar every time he stood up and between the two prostrations. Then he would say: "I am the one among all of you whose prayer most resembles the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and this was his prayer throughout his life."
