Virtue of offering prayer in congregation
Hadith 153
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، نا شَرِيكٌ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((صَلَاةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي الْجَمَاعَةِ تَفْضُلُ صَلَاةَ الْفَذِّ خَمْسَةً وَعِشْرِينَ صَلَاةً)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-five times more rewarding than his prayer alone."
Hadith 154
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، نا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((فَضْلُ صَلَاةِ الرَّجُلِ فِي الْجَمْعِ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الْفَذِّ خَمْسٌ وَعِشْرُونَ دَرَجَةً)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "A man's prayer in congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than his prayer alone."
Hadith 155
أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ، نا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ وَسَاجٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَهُ.
Abu Al-Ahwas narrated from Abdullah, from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), a narration similar to this.
