Virtue of sitting in the place of prayer after prayer waiting for the next prayer
Hadith 128
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: لَا يَزَالُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ مَا دَامَ فِي مُصَلَّاهُ يَنْتَظِرُ الصَّلَاةَ، تَقُولُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ: اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ، ارْحَمْهُ مَا لَمْ يَنْصَرِفْ أَوْ يُحْدِثْ حَدَثَ سُوءٍ، فَقِيلَ: وَمَا الْحَدَثُ السُّوءُ؟ فَقَالَ: أَنْ يَضْرِطَ أَوْ يَفْسُوَ.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "When any one of you waits for prayer while sitting on his prayer place, he is considered to be in prayer, and the angels say: O Allah! Forgive him, have mercy on him, (this continues) until he gets up and leaves or commits a bad hadath." It was asked: What is a bad hadath? He said: "That he passes wind audibly or silently."
Hadith 129
أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً.
Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) a narration similar to the previous hadith.
