Ruling on the urine of a boy and girl during infancy
Hadith 103
أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، نا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ الْمُخَارِقِ، أَنَّ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ كَانَ فِي حِجْرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَرِنِي ثَوْبَكَ كَيْمَا أَغْسِلَهُ قَالَتْ: فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((يَا أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ، إِنَّمَا يُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ وَيُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلَامِ)).
It is narrated from Qaboos bin Mukhaariq that Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them) was in the lap of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he urinated on him. Umm al-Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Give me your garment so that I may wash it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Umm al-Fadl! The urine of a girl should be washed, and the urine of a boy should be sprinkled with water."
Hadith 104
أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، - أَوْ غَيْرُهُ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ قَابُوسَ بْنِ الْمُخَارِقِ، عَنْ لُبَابَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَتْ: أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ فَوَضَعَهُ فِي حِجْرِهِ، فَبَالَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَعْطِنِي إِزَارَكَ كَيْ أَغْسِلَهُ، فَقَالَ: ((إِنَّمَا يُغْسَلُ بَوْلُ الْجَارِيَةِ، وَيُنْضَحُ بَوْلُ الْغُلَامِ)).
Lubabah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) and seated him in his lap, and he urinated on him. So I said: O Messenger of Allah! Give me your lower garment so that I may wash it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The urine of a girl is washed, and water is sprinkled over the urine of a boy."
