Using an odd number of stones for istinja
Hadith 100
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، وَمَالِكٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْتَنْثِرْ، وَإِذَا اسْتَجْمَرَ فَلْيُوتِرْ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever performs ablution should clean his nose, and whoever uses stones for istinja should use an odd number of stones."
