Hadith 76
اَخْبَرَنَا بَقِیَّۃُ بْنُ الْوَلِیْدِ، نَا الْاَوْزَاعِیُّ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عُتُبَۃَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ عُبَیْدٍ الْمَکِّیِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ اَنَّہٗ قِیْلَ لَہٗ: اَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ عَلَیْنَا، یَتَکَلَّمُ فِی الْقَدْرِ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: اَرُوْنِیْہِ آخُذُ بِرَأْسِہِ، فَوَاللّٰہِ لَئِنْ وَقَعَتْ رَقَبَتُہٗ فِی یَدِیْ لَادَقَّنَّهَا، وَلَئِنْ وَقَعَ اَنْفَہٗ فِی فَمِیْ لَاَعْضَنَّہٗ، فَاِنِّیْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُوْلَ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ یَقُوْلُ: کَأَنِّیْ بِنِسَاءِ بَنِیْ فَہْمٍ یَطُفْنَ بِالْخَزْرَجِ، حَتَّی یَخْرُجُوا اللّٰہَ مِنْ اَنْ یَّقْدِرَ الْخَیْرِ، کَمَا اَخْرَجُوْہٗ مِنْ اَنْ یَّقْدِرَ الشَّرَّ.
Muhammad ibn Ubaid al-Makki narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), it was said to him: A man has come to us, he speaks about predestination (qadar). So Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Show him to me, I will seize him by the head. By Allah! If his neck comes into my hand, I will break it, and if his nose comes into my mouth, I will bite it off, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is as if I am with the women of Banu Fahm, they are circling with Khazraj (as if their buttocks are colliding in a state of shirk). By Allah! Their evil opinion about them will not end until they exclude Allah from decreeing good, just as they have excluded Him from decreeing evil."
Hadith 77
اَخْبَرَنَا بَقِیَّةُ: فَلَقِیْتُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنَ عُتْبَۃَ، فَحَدَّثَنِیْ بِهٖ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبَیْدٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدِ بْنِ جَبْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَّسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ صَلَّی اللّٰہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهٖ.
Mujahid bin Jabr (may Allah have mercy on him) narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) a narration similar to this.
