Inability and wisdom are from destiny
Hadith 72
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، نا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يَقُوْلُ: اَلشَّرُّ لَيْسَ بِقَدَرِ فَقَالُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ أَهْل الْقَدْرِ: ﴿ سَيَقُولُ الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ مَا أَشْرَكْنَا وَلَا آبَاؤُنَا﴾ تلا إلى قولهٖ (إلى) ﴿ فَلَوْ شَاءَ لَهَدَاكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ﴾ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسِ: وَالْعِجْزُ وَالْكَيْسُ مِنَ الْقَدْرِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard a man saying: "Evil is not according to decree (qadar)." So Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Between us and the people of Qadar is the statement of Allah, the Exalted: 'The polytheists will say: If Allah had willed, we would not have committed shirk, nor would our forefathers.' He recited up to: 'If He had willed, He would have guided you all.' Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: 'Inability and wisdom are from decree (qadar).'"
