Three practices of the Age of Ignorance
Hadith 51
وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: ((مِنْ أَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ النِّيَاحَةُ، وَتَبَرُّئ امْرِئٍ مِنَ ابْنِهِ، وَفَخْرُهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Three things are from the practices of the Age of Ignorance: wailing, a person disassociating himself from his father, and his boasting over people."
