Hadith 30
(حديث مرفوع) أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ ، نا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لَقِيَ مُوسَى آدَمَ عَلَيْهَمَا السَّلامُ ، فَقَالَ : أَنْتَ آدَمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ اللَّهُ بِيَدِهِ ، وَأَسْجَدَ لَكَ مَلائِكَتَهُ ، وَأَسْكَنَكَ جَنَّتَهُ ، فَأَخْرَجْتَ وَلَدَكَ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ ، قَالَ لَهُ : يَا مُوسَى ، أَنْتَ الَّذِي اصْطَفَاكَ اللَّهُ بِرِسَالاتِهِ وَكَلَّمَكَ ، فَأَنَا أَقْدَمُ أَمِ الذِّكْرُ ؟ فَقَالَ : لا ، بَلِ الذِّكْرُ ، فَحَجَّ آدَمُ مُوسَى " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Musa (peace be upon him) met Adam (peace be upon him) and said: Are you Adam, whom Allah created with His own hand, made His angels prostrate to you, settled you in His Paradise, and you caused your offspring to be expelled from Paradise? He (Adam) said to him: O Musa! Are you the one whom Allah distinguished with His message and His speech? So, was I created before the decree or after? He (Musa) said: No, rather before the decree. Thus, Adam (peace be upon him) prevailed over Musa (peace be upon him)."
