Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The five prayers and one Jumu'ah to the next Jumu'ah are an expiation for the sins committed in between them, as long as major sins are avoided."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: ➊ ... From the mentioned hadith, it is understood that performing prayers not only brings reward and elevates ranks, but also causes sins to be forgiven because of them.
➋ ... The mentioned hadith also indicates the virtue of the Friday prayer (Jumu‘ah). In another hadith, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “The five prayers and from one Friday (Jumu‘ah) to the next are expiation for all the sins committed in between them, so long as major sins are avoided, and (Jumu‘ah) also becomes expiation for the sins committed in the following three days.” (Silsilat al-Sahihah, no. 1920)
It is understood from this that these deeds cause minor sins to be forgiven, provided that major sins are avoided, because major sins are not forgiven without repentance. Allah the Exalted says: : “If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your minor sins and admit you to a noble entrance.” (al-Nisa’: 31) ... “And if you avoid the major sins which you have been forbidden, We will surely remit from you your minor sins and admit you to a place of honor.”
