Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
The aforementioned hadith establishes the virtue of the Ummah of Muhammad (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam). While commenting on this hadith, Allamah Suyuti rahimahullah writes: “The phrase ‘last of the days’ refers to the aspect of time. That is, we are the last Ummah in terms of chronological order; this honor belongs to this Ummah that, although in existence it came after all other communities, in the Hereafter it will surpass the rest of the communities, as their resurrection will occur first. The reckoning (hisab) of this Ummah will also take place first. The judgment regarding them will be pronounced before all others. Compared to the rest of the communities, this Ummah will enter Paradise first. The evidence for this is the hadith narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah radi Allahu anhu, in which the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: ‘In terms of coming into the world, we are the last, but on the Day of Resurrection, in rank, we will be the foremost; the judgment concerning us will be pronounced before all creation.’ (Muslim, Kitab al-Jumu‘ah, no. 856; see Sharh Sunan al-Nasa’i: 1/8)”

From the above hadith, it is also understood that the people of Paradise will be granted beauty and elegance in accordance with their deeds and ranks.
