Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that there will be differences in beauty and elegance among the inhabitants of Paradise; the more righteous deeds one has, the greater will be their beauty. However, in stature, all will be equal—sixty cubits (which is approximately ninety feet)—and likewise, their ages will also be equal, thirty or thirty-three years, as is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh ibn Jabal radi Allahu anhu that the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, there will be no hair on their bodies, nor will there be a beard or mustache on their faces, their eyes will be kohl-lined, and their age will be thirty or thirty-three years.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Chapters on the Description of Paradise, Chapter: What Has Been Related About the Age of the People of Paradise)
It is also understood that in Paradise there will be no need for urination or defecation, nor will there be any impurities such as spittle, nasal mucus, or earwax. It is further understood that, just as the blessings of Paradise are a bounty, so too will the maidens of Paradise (hur) be a blessing for the men of Paradise. The hur refers to those women whom Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, has created by His power in Paradise for the believers. They are beautiful, with kohl-lined eyes, white and transparent in complexion like pearls. The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is:
﴿وَحُورٌ عِیْنٌ() کَاَمْثَالِ اللُّؤْلُؤِ الْمَکْنُوْنِ() جَزَآءً بِمَا کَانُوْا یَعْمَلُوْنَ﴾ (al-Waqi‘ah: 22–24)
“…And [there will be] maidens with beautiful, wide eyes, like hidden pearls, as a reward for what they used to do.”
It is also understood that their character will be similar to one another, because the more people are alike in character, habits, likes, and dislikes, the deeper their friendship becomes; and in Paradise, people will be like-minded and of one heart. There will be no envy or malice in anyone’s heart towards another. As Allah, the Exalted, has stated:
﴿وَ نَزَعْنَا مَا فِیْ صُدُوْرِهِمْ مِّنْ غِلٍّ اِخْوَانًا عَلٰی سُرُرٍ مُّتَقٰبِلِیْنَ﴾ (al-Hijr: 47)
“We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other.”
