Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The people of Hell will be cast into Hell, and it will say, 'Are there any more?' until Allah, Blessed and Exalted, comes to it and places His foot in it, then it will contract and say, 'Enough, enough.'"

Benefits: From the mentioned hadith, one can estimate the vastness of Hell—that humans and jinn will be cast into it, yet it will not be filled. Even though, from among Allah’s creation, out of every thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine people will enter Hell. And still, Hell will not be filled, so Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, has promised, as is in the Noble Qur’an: (as-Sajda: 13) “I will surely fill Hell with jinn and mankind all together.”
But when the jinn and mankind enter Hell, after that Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, will ask: “Are you filled or not?” It will reply: “Is there any more?” That is, even though I am filled, O Allah, there is still room in my embrace for Your enemies. Then Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, will place His Foot, and Hell will cry out: “Enough, enough.”
