Benefits:
From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that the deaf, the insane, the extremely elderly, and those who lived during the interval between two prophets will be tested again on the Day of Resurrection. This is because they will present their excuses, so Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, will test them. In another hadith, it is clarified that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, four individuals will be brought: a child, an insane person, one who died during the interval between two messengers, and a very old man. Each of them will present their own arguments. Allah, the Exalted, will say to the neck (i.e., the flare) of the Fire: Appear! Then Allah, the Exalted, will say: I used to send messengers among My servants, and now I am Myself a messenger to you and I say: (all of you) enter this Fire. The wretched ones will say: O our Lord! How can we enter it? We used to flee from it! The fortunate ones will proceed (in obedience to Allah's command) and will hasten and forcefully enter it. At that moment, Allah, the Exalted, will say: You (the wretched ones who did not enter the Fire) were great in denying My messengers and disobeying them (because you did not obey My direct command either). Now these (obedient ones) will enter Paradise and these (disobedient ones) will enter the Fire." (Musnad Abi Ya'la: 3/1044, its chain is authentic)
In this, the Noble Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) has warned those people whom Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, has granted the faculty of hearing, who are intelligent, to whom the message of the Messenger has reached, and who possess the ability to understand it. The decision regarding such people will be made according to the life they spent in this world; there will be no second test for them.
