Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to say this often, so I do not know whether it was something he considered preferable or if it is from the Book of Allah: "If a person has two valleys full of wealth, he will wish for a third like them; nothing will fill his soul except (the grave's) dust. Whoever repents, Allah accepts his repentance."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: The love of wealth is naturally present in human beings. Accumulating worldly wealth as per one’s needs is not a bad thing; however, it becomes blameworthy when, in the greed for worldly wealth, the Hereafter is forgotten. Allah the Exalted says: ﴿اَلْهٰکُمُالتَّکَاثُرُ () حَتّٰیزُرْتُمُالْمَقَابِرَ ﴾ (: al-Takathur: 1,2) ... “The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you, until you visit the graves.”
Greed for wealth is extremely dangerous and corrupts the religion. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “Two hungry wolves let loose among sheep do not cause as much damage as a man’s greed for wealth and status (being elevated) does to his religion.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Book of Asceticism, Hadith: 2376. Shaykh al-Albani declared it authentic.)
