Abu Zurayn narrated: I saw Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, in Iraq, striking his hand on his forehead, and he was saying: O people of Iraq! Do you say that I would attribute a lie to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, so that you may have comfort and the sin would be upon me? I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: "When a dog puts its mouth in the vessel of any one of you, he should wash it seven times, and when the strap of his shoe breaks, he should not walk in the other until he repairs it."
