Importance of testimony in resolving disputes
Hadith 900
اَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُاللّٰهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْمَخْزُوْمِیُّ، نَا سَیْفُ بْنُ سُلَیْمَانَ الْمَکِّیُّ، عَنْ قَیْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِیْنَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَضَی رَسُوْلُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّی اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْیَمِیْنِ مَعَ الشَّاهِدِ۔ قَالَ عَمْرٌو: ذٰلِكَ فِی الْاَمْوَالِ۔ قَالَ اَبُوْ مُحَمَّدٍ: لَیْسَ فِیْ هٰذَا الْبَابِ حَدِیْثَ اَصَحَّ مِنْ هٰذَا.
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a verdict with an oath and one witness. Amr narrated: This is regarding wealth. Abu Muhammad (Ibn Dinar) said: There is no hadith more authentic than this in this chapter.
