أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيُّ قَطُّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ حَذَّرَ أُمَّتَهُ الدَّجَّالَ، وَإِنَّهُ فِيكُمْ أَيَّتُهَا الْأُمَّةُ وَإِنَّهُ يَطَأُ الْأَرْضَ كُلَّهَا غَيْرَ طَيْبَةٍ)) . يَعْنِي الْمَدِينَةَ.
Sayyida Fatimah bint Qays (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Every prophet has warned (his nation) about the trial of Dajjal. O Ummah! He will appear among you, but he will roam the entire earth except for Taybah (Madina Munawwara)."

From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that the tribulation (fitnah) of the Dajjal will be a very great tribulation. Sayyiduna Hisham bin ‘Amir radi Allahu anhu says that he heard the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam say: “From Adam until the Day of Resurrection, there will be no creation of Allah greater (in tribulation) than the Dajjal.” (Muslim, Kitab al-Fitan wa Ashrat al-Sa‘ah, Bab fi Baqiyyat min Ahadith al-Dajjal, No. 2946)
It is also understood that one of the names of Madinah Munawwarah is Tayyibah. In another hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: ((Indeed Allah, Blessed and Exalted, named it Tayyibah.)) (Musnad Ahmad: 3/96) ... “That Allah, the Exalted, has named it Tayyibah.”
From the aforementioned hadith, the virtue of Madinah Munawwarah is also established, that the Dajjal will not enter it.
In another hadith, Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik radi Allahu anhu narrated that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “There will be no city which the Dajjal will not trample upon, except Makkah and Madinah. Every path to them will have angels standing in rows guarding them. Then the land of Madinah will shake three times, and Allah will expel every disbeliever and hypocrite from it.” (Bukhari, Kitab Fada’il al-Madinah, No. 1881)
