Umm Malik al-Bahziyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned tribulations, and said: "The best among you during those tribulations is the one who takes his wealth and withdraws, worships his Lord, and fulfills His due. And another is the one whom the enemy does not know and he does not know them."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that in times of tribulation, the best people are those who isolate themselves from others and worship Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, as is found in Sahih al-Bukhari. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa‘id al-Khudri radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “A time is near when the best wealth of a Muslim will be a few sheep which he takes to the tops of mountains and places where rain falls, fleeing with his religion from tribulations.” (Bukhari, no. 19)
This refers to those times of tribulation when it becomes difficult to safeguard one’s religion, and there is a fear of falling into the unlawful; in such circumstances, isolation is better. Otherwise, Islam does not permit monasticism; rather, it commands living among people. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn ‘Umar radi Allahu anhuma that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: “The believer who mixes with people and is patient with their harm is better than the one who does not mix with people and does not show patience over their harm.” (Sunan Ibn Majah, no. 4032; Silsilah al-Sahihah, no. 939)
