Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Gold locusts rained down upon Ayub (peace be upon him), so he began to gather them. Allah revealed to him: 'Have I not given you abundance?' He replied: 'Yes, my Lord! But I cannot do without Your bounty.'"

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that wealth is superior and more virtuous than poverty, as our master Ayub (alayhis salam) gathered the locusts of gold in order to increase his wealth and fulfill his needs of life. In this, there is also encouragement to seek sustenance. In the narration from our master Ibn Abbas (radi Allahu anhuma), which Ibn Abi Hatim has transmitted, it is mentioned that our master Ayub (alayhis salam) would spread out one edge of his garment and collect those locusts in it, and when one edge would be filled, he would spread out the other edge. (Fath al-Bari: 6/320, 321)
In Sahih Bukhari, it is mentioned that our master Ayub (alayhis salam) was taking a ritual bath (ghusl) naked when golden locusts began to fall upon him. (Bukhari: 3391)
