Hadith 839

Qatadah narrated from a man, from the chain of Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), a narration similar to this, but he narrated somewhat less than it.

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
It is understood that all the Prophets are brothers. Imam Baghawi rahimahullah states: What is meant by this is that their mothers are different, but their religion is one and the same. Furthermore, while defining the terms ‘Uyayni, ‘Allati, and Akhiyafi siblings, he says:
‘Uyayni: Those whose mother and father are both the same are called ‘Uyayni (full) siblings.
‘Allati: Those whose father is the same but mothers are different are called ‘Allati siblings.
Akhiyafi: And those whose fathers are different but mother is the same are called Akhiyafi siblings.
In any case, what is meant by this phrase is that the fundamental religion of all the Prophets alayhimussalam is one, even though their laws (shari‘ah) are different, just as the father of ‘Allati children is the same but their mothers are different. (Sharh al-Sunnah: 13/200) In the legal teachings of all previous Prophets and Messengers, three things have always been common: 1- Tawhid (monotheism), 2- Messengership, 3- The Hereafter.
It is understood that between our master ‘Isa alayhis salam and the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, no Prophet came.
Hafiz Abu Zur‘ah ‘Iraqi rahimahullah states: In the aforementioned hadith, there is a clear refutation of those who say that Prophets and Messengers alayhimussalam came after our master ‘Isa alayhis salam. And most of the Christians say that those who were sent to the people after our master ‘Isa alayhis salam were the disciples (hawariyyun) of ‘Isa alayhis salam. But this is the statement of those Christians about whom the words "la‘anahumullah" (may Allah curse them) are mentioned. (Tarf al-Tathrib: 6/245)
Our master ‘Isa alayhis salam will descend in the eastern part of Damascus near the white minaret of the mosque, with both his hands resting on the shoulders of angels, and at the time of his descent, drops of water will be seen falling from his hair like pearls. When he bows his head, it will seem as if drops of water are dripping, and the Christians’ belief is that our master ‘Isa alayhis salam is the son of Allah, and that he gave his life on the cross to atone for the sins of all mankind. Another belief is that in his law, swine is lawful.
After descending from the heavens, our master ‘Isa alayhis salam will announce: I am neither the son of Allah, nor did I give my life on the cross, nor did I become an atonement for anyone’s sins, nor did I make swine lawful.
And in the aforementioned hadith, this is the meaning of breaking the cross and killing the swine.
Abolition of Jizyah: Since jizyah is taken from non-Muslims, and in the time of our master ‘Isa alayhis salam, all religions except Islam will be eradicated. Our master ‘Isa alayhis salam will also kill the Dajjal. It is understood that the blessed era of our master ‘Isa alayhis salam will be one of great peace and security. There will also be abundance of wealth, people will live with love and affection among themselves, and there will be no envy or malice.
