Hadith 832

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Allah has chosen for you the best of speech, not from the Qur'an while it is a part of the Qur'an, «لا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر، وسبحان الله وبحمده، والحمد لله رب العالمين، ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله العلي العظيم»."

Benefits:
The aforementioned narration is weak. However, in other authentic ahadith, the virtue of each of the above-mentioned phrases individually is established. As narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub radi Allahu anhu, the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "Four words are the most virtuous. There is no harm in beginning with any of them." (Sunan Ibn Majah, no. 3811)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah radi Allahu anhu that the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said: "Whoever says 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi' one hundred times in a day, his sins will be forgiven, even if they are as much as the foam of the sea." (Bukhari, Book of Supplications, Chapter: The Virtue of Tasbih, no. 6405)
