Condition for entering Paradise
Hadith 799

أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَزْهَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَا تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ حَتَّى تُؤْمِنُوا وَلَا تُؤْمِنُوا حَتَّى تَحَابُّوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى مَا إِنْ فَعَلْتُمُوهُ تَحَابَبْتُمْ)) ، قَالُوا: نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: ((أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ بَيْنَكُمْ)).
With this same chain, it is narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The person with the most perfect faith among the people is the one whose character is the best among them."

From the mentioned hadith, it is understood that faith (iman) is necessary to enter Paradise (Jannah). The faithless, polytheists, and disbelievers will not be able to enter Paradise. The requirement of faith is that believers and Muslims should develop mutual love and affection among themselves. Greeting (salam) increases mutual love and affection.
