Denying truth and belittling people is arrogance
Hadith 786
وَبِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ إِلَّا عَلَى شِرَارِ النَّاسِ)).
With this (previous) chain, Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "The outcome of deceit, trickery, and fraud is Hell."
