Replying to sneezing explained
Hadith 780

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، نا أَبُو مُنَيْنٍ وَهُوَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كُنَّا جُلُوسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَعَطِسَ رَجُلٌ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَهُ: ((يَرْحَمُكَ اللَّهُ)) ، ثُمَّ عَطِسَ آخَرُ فَلَمْ يَقُلْ لَهُ شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ردَدْتَ عَلَى الْآخَرِ وَلَمْ تَقُلْ لِي شَيْئًا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: ((إِنَّهُ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَسَكَتَّ)) .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man sneezed and said: «الحمدللہ», so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «يرحمك الله». Then another man sneezed, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say anything to him. So he said: O Messenger of Allah! You responded to that man, but you did not say anything to me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "He praised Allah, whereas you remained silent."

From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that if someone sneezes and does not say "Alhamdulillah," then one should not say to him "Yarhamuk Allah."
