Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits:
From the aforementioned narration, it is understood that among the evil traits of a human being are greed and cowardice. When greed and cowardice are combined in a person, it is called "shuh" (miserliness combined with avarice and fear).

In another hadith, it is stated: "Beware of shuh, for it destroyed those before you; it incited them to shed blood and made them declare the unlawful as lawful." (Muslim, Book of Righteousness, Chapter: The Prohibition of Oppression, No: 2578)

And the Divine statement is:
"...And whoever is protected from the miserliness of his soul, then those are the successful (and prosperous)."

Halū‘: A person who is extremely greedy and excessively anxious is called "halū‘". The statement of Allah, the Exalted, is:
"Indeed, man was created anxious (halū‘)."

Because it is the greedy and miserly person who is faint-hearted and panics. Further, Allah, the Possessor of Majesty, said:
"When evil touches him, he is impatient and fretful. And when good touches him, he withholds (is miserly)."
