Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not harm his neighbor, and whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest." It was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the right of the guest? He (peace be upon him) said: "Three (days is the right of hospitality), so whatever is more than these (three days) or after them, that is charity. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, if any matter presents itself to him, he should speak good or remain silent. Accept the advice of goodness regarding women, for they have been created from a rib, and the most crooked part of the rib is its upper part. If you try to straighten it, you will break it, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked. So accept the advice of goodness regarding women."

Explanation & Benefits
Hafiz Abdush Shakoor Tirmidhi
Benefits: ➊ ... In the aforementioned hadith, emphasis has been placed on taking care of the rights of the neighbor.
➋ ... Honoring the guest: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that one should show hospitality to the guest, and feeding and accommodating the guest for three days is his right. The guest should also not stay with the host for too long; however, if the host insists or there is a close relationship, then there is no harm in staying for more than three days.
➌ ... Guarding the tongue: From the aforementioned hadith, it is understood that a person should speak good words, otherwise he should remain silent. Because in the Noble Qur’an it is stated: ﴿مَایَلْفِظُمِنْقَوْلٍاِِلَّالَدَیْہِرَقِیبٌعَتِیدٌ﴾ () “Not a word does a person utter except that with him is an observer ready [to record].” In a hadith it is stated: ((مَنْصَمَتَنَجَا)) (Silsilat al-Sahihah, no. 536) “Whoever remains silent is saved.” Sayyiduna Uqbah ibn Amir radi Allahu anhu narrates that he asked the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, “What is salvation?” He replied: ((اَمْسِکَعَلَیْكَلِسَانَکَ۔)) (Sahih Tirmidhi, no. 1961) “Restrain your tongue for yourself.”
And the silence which is a means of salvation is to remain silent from forbidden, disliked, futile, and useless speech. Otherwise, the tongue is a great blessing from Allah Ta’ala. The declaration of faith and peace is also made with the tongue. Recitation and remembrance, enjoining good and forbidding evil are also carried out through it.
➍ ... The meaning of “I enjoin you to treat women well” (istawsu bil-nisa) is: Accept my advice regarding women and act upon it, that is, in every situation treat women with good conduct, as Allah Ta’ala says: ﴿وَعَاشِرُوْهُنَّبِالْمَعْرُوْفِفَاِنْکَرِهْتُمُوْهُنَّفَعَسٰٓیاَنْتَکْرَهُوْاشَیْئًاوَّیَجْعَلَاللّٰهُفِیْهِخَیْرًاکَثِیْرًا﴾ () “And live with them in kindness. For if you dislike them, perhaps you dislike a thing and Allah makes therein much good.” (al-Nisa: 19)
In Sahih Muslim, there is a hadith: “A believing man (husband) should not hate a believing woman (wife); if he dislikes one of her traits, he will be pleased with another.” (Sahih Muslim, no. 1469)
Because a woman is naturally weak, a man who is more intelligent and of higher resolve should act with patience and forgiveness.
